Hi Karen,
I just discovered your blog and store and wanted to tell you how much I love them. I’m a Canadian West Coast girl, so I’m so happy when I see other Canadian chicks in the fatosphere! Can’t wait to follow you and spend money at Your Big Sister’s Closet! (I’m drooling over the pink chiffon swing dress you wore to the DD as we speak…).
I started a blog as well this past summer (maybliss.ca) and gave you a shout out in today’s post. Hope you can check it out some time.
Thanks again for being awesome!
May Bliss
Hey there,
My name is Alexandra and I’m a young publicist in the Waterloo Region and plan on launching a PR/ Personal blog in mid November of this year. I’m currently at Conestoga College and getting my Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations and plan on creating a blog that explores my love for the arts, communications, design, fashion and a few funny stories and tips for success in the industry when starting out (from what i’m discovering along the way). I’m planning to incorporate a chic design paired with cheeky content. Ultimately, the blog is a virtual diary that explores the world of a girl from a small town trying to make it “big” within the industry of high heels and even higher standards.
I’ve always been an avid blog reader, but since I am taking this step forward I have been really going beyond just reading blog posts and have started to really study the blogs that I enjoy. I wanted to figure out what exactly draws me to the blogs I read and what is it about those bloggers that inspire me.
One constant theme I find myself adoring about the blogs I continuously look at is that these individuals running the blogs are constantly progressing and moving forward.
I have been reading your blog for quite some time now and it’s amazing to see the progress that your boutique is making! I must say, I love to see your looks of the day, looks at big events that you attend and your other countless fashion endeavours.
As a curvy woman I always use to get discouraged by fashion and I always felt that because I was a “bigger” girl that I couldn’t fit into clothing thats “in” nor should I even dare try to fit in. However, it’s women like you that inspire me to love the skin I’m in and embrace my love for fashion, and most importantly enjoy life, celebrate and stay focused on my goals.
Unfortunately I have not yet been to your boutique but plan on being in Toronto in early June and am really looking forward to seeing it in person. Thank you for being such a big inspiration for not only my career choices and going forth with creating a blog, but also helping me gain confidence in who I am.
Kindest Regards,
Alexandra R.
Just discovered your blog. Amazing. THANK YOU for your listings of other sites.
